In the summer of 2013, I went on a road trip, moving my sister across the country where she was to begin a different life in a completely new place. Thunder Bay was the last stop we made in Ontario. The sunlight was shining intensely into our hotel room when we arrived; I took some photographs, and early the next morning we moved on. This piece is a reflection upon that day, and all of the days before and since.
